What risk does a person face if they break the law?
Answer. A penalty decided by a judge, for example a fine or a prison sentence.
Une sanction décidée par un juge, par exemple une amende ou une peine de prison.
Breaking the law means committing an offense. The judge chooses the penalty according to the seriousness of the acts, ranging from a fine to prison.
The official text that proves it
« Les infractions pénales désignent des actes ou des comportements interdits par la loi. Le non-respect des lois peut entraîner des sanctions. Les sanctions sont prononcées par le juge selon la gravité. »
Criminal offenses refer to acts or behavior prohibited by law. Failing to obey the law can lead to penalties. Penalties are handed down by the judge according to the seriousness of the offense.
