La liberté d'expression.
Freedom of expression allows people to speak, write and publish their ideas. It is protected by article 11 of the 1789 Declaration, within the limits set by law.
The official text that proves it
« La libre communication des pensées et des opinions est un des droits les plus précieux de l'homme : tout citoyen peut donc parler, écrire, imprimer librement, sauf à répondre de l'abus de cette liberté dans les cas déterminés par la loi. »
The free communication of thoughts and opinions is one of the most precious rights of man. Every citizen may therefore speak, write and print freely, except that they must answer for the abuse of this freedom in cases set by law.
