At what age is digital majority set in France?
Answer. 15 years old.

A law of July 7, 2023 set digital majority at 15 years old. Before this age, a young person needed a parent's consent to sign up for a social network. In practice, this rule was not enforced. In 2026, a law sought to ban social media for those under 15, but the Constitutional Council struck it down (decision no. 2026-911 DC of August 14, 2026).
