Ariane rockets launch from the Kourou space center, in French Guiana. The center was inaugurated in 1968 by CNES, the French space agency. The European Space Agency, created in 1975, uses it to launch Ariane rockets.

« Le centre spatial de Kourou est situé sur la côte atlantique de la Guyane. C’est l’une des bases de lancement de fusées parmi les plus importantes au monde. Inauguré en 1968, il est utilisé par l’Agence spatiale européenne pour envoyer des satellites. »
The Kourou space center is located on the Atlantic coast of French Guiana. It is one of the most important rocket launch bases in the world. Inaugurated in 1968, it is used by the European Space Agency to send satellites.
