King Louis XVI is guillotined on 21 January 1793, a few months after the Republic is proclaimed in September 1792.

The official text that proves it

« Il surveille strictement les ennemis de la Révolution et utilise la guillotine contre ceux qu’il considère comme des traîtres. Louis XVI est ainsi exécuté en 1793. »

It closely monitors the enemies of the Revolution and uses the guillotine against those it considers traitors. Louis XVI is thus executed in 1793.
