Answer. The brevet des collèges, officially the diplôme national du brevet (DNB).

The brevet is taken at the end of 3e, the last year of collège. The bac, on the other hand, is taken at the end of lycée.

« À la fin du collège, l’enfant passe un diplôme qui s’appelle le brevet des collèges, ou diplôme national du brevet (DNB) ; »
At the end of collège, the child takes a diploma called the brevet des collèges, or diplôme national du brevet (DNB);
