Regarding the right to marry, which statement is correct?
Answer. Everyone is free to choose their spouse, man or woman, and marriage requires the free consent of both spouses.
Chacun est libre de choisir son conjoint, homme ou femme, et le mariage exige le consentement libre des deux époux.
In France, marriage is open to same-sex and different-sex couples. No one can be forced into marriage, otherwise the marriage is not valid.

« En France, chacun est libre de choisir son conjoint (quel que soit son sexe). Chacun est libre de se mettre en couple, de vivre en concubinage, de se pacser, de se marier ou de ne pas le faire. Le consentement libre est une condition essentielle de la validité du mariage (article 146 du Code civil). »
In France, everyone is free to choose their spouse (regardless of sex). Everyone is free to become a couple, to live together, to enter a civil partnership, to marry, or not to do any of these. Free consent is an essential condition for the validity of marriage (article 146 of the Civil Code).
