What does the Constitution contain?

Answer. The organization of the State and of powers, as well as fundamental rights and freedoms.

L'organisation de l'État et des pouvoirs, ainsi que les droits et libertés fondamentaux.

The Constitution states how power is shared between institutions. It also protects everyone's rights and freedoms.

The official text that proves it

« Ses articles déterminent : l'organisation de l’État (comment le pouvoir est réparti et exercé) ; les caractéristiques du régime politique ; les principaux droits et libertés fondamentaux ; la façon dont ces derniers vont être garantis pour tous les citoyens. »

Its articles determine the organization of the State (how power is divided and exercised), the characteristics of the political system, the main fundamental rights and freedoms, and how these are to be guaranteed for all citizens.
