Pourquoi les libertés individuelles peuvent-elles être limitées ?
Why can individual freedoms be limited?
Answer. To protect life in society, meaning the rights of others, public order and the general interest.
A freedom without limits could hurt others. The law therefore limits freedoms so that everyone can live in safety and peace.
The official text that proves it
However, these rights and freedoms have a limit in order to protect life in society. Our individual rights and freedoms are limited by the rights of others. Liberty consists of doing anything that does not harm others (article 4 of the DDHC).
