Who can vote in elections in France?
Answer. Adult French citizens who have their civic rights and are registered on the electoral rolls.
Les citoyens français majeurs qui ont leurs droits civiques et sont inscrits sur les listes électorales.
The right to vote is reserved for adult French citizens, men and women, who are not deprived of their civic rights. European Union citizens living in France vote only in municipal and European elections.
The official text that proves it
« Sont électeurs, dans les conditions déterminées par la loi, tous les nationaux français majeurs des deux sexes, jouissant de leurs droits civils et politiques. »
All adult French nationals of both sexes, enjoying their civil and political rights, are electors, under the conditions set by law.
