This founding text affirms the rights of every human being and the rights and duties of the citizen. It still has constitutional value today.

« La Déclaration des Droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen (DDHC) est un texte fondamental qui affirme les droits fondamentaux de l’être humain : des droits naturels, universels (pour tous les hommes, femmes, enfants…) et inaliénables (ils ne peuvent être donnés à quelqu’un d’autre, ils lui appartiennent) et du citoyen (des droits et devoirs civiques et politiques). »
The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (DDHC) is a fundamental text that affirms the fundamental rights of the human being, natural, universal (for all men, women, children) and inalienable rights (they cannot be given to someone else, they belong to the person), and the rights of the citizen (civic and political rights and duties).
