Who can request parental leave (congé parental d'éducation)?
Answer. Any employee, whether the father or the mother, who has at least one year of seniority in the company at the time of the child's birth or adoption.
Tout salarié, le père comme la mère, qui a au moins un an d’ancienneté dans l’entreprise à la naissance ou à l’adoption de l’enfant.
Parental leave is open to both parents, not just the mother. You must be an employee with at least one year of seniority with your employer. Both parents can take it at the same time.
