In public schools, who is allowed to wear highly visible religious symbols?
Answer. No one. Pupils are not allowed to wear conspicuous religious symbols, and teachers must remain neutral.

Since the 2004 law, pupils in public primary schools, middle schools and high schools cannot wear a conspicuous religious symbol, meaning a symbol that clearly shows their religion. Teachers and staff must remain neutral and must not show their religion. Choose the option that says "no one", or the one saying that neither pupils nor teachers may do so.

In public primary schools, middle schools and high schools, the wearing of symbols or clothing by which pupils conspicuously display a religious affiliation is forbidden.
