What should a victim of violence do?

A victim should not stay alone. They can file a complaint, write to the public prosecutor, or get help from an association. In an emergency, they call 17.

« En tant que victime, vous pouvez : déposer plainte auprès de tous les commissariats ou les gendarmeries ; envoyer un courrier au procureur de la République ; »
As a victim, you can file a complaint at any police station or gendarmerie, or send a letter to the public prosecutor.
