What condition is required to vote in the European elections?
Answer. To hold the nationality of a European Union country (French or other), live in France, be 18 years old, and be registered on the electoral rolls.
Avoir la nationalité d'un pays de l'Union européenne (française ou autre), habiter en France, avoir 18 ans et être inscrit sur les listes électorales.
In the European elections, a citizen of another EU country who lives in France can vote, just like a French citizen. He must be an adult and registered on the electoral rolls.
The official text that proves it
« Pour avoir le droit de voter en France lors des élections européennes, il faut : Avoir la nationalité d’un pays membre de l’Union européenne ; Habiter en France ; Avoir au moins 18 ans la veille du 1er tour de l’élection ; Être inscrit sur les listes électorales françaises. »
To be entitled to vote in France in the European elections, you must hold the nationality of a European Union member country, live in France, be at least 18 years old the day before the first round of the election, and be registered on the French electoral rolls.
