Answer. The State, along with its public services, for example public schools, town halls or prefectures.

The State does not recognize any religion and remains neutral. Local authorities and public services must also be neutral.

« Conséquence de cette séparation : l’État, mais aussi les collectivités territoriales et les services publics , sont neutres vis-à-vis des religions. »
A consequence of this separation, the State, as well as local authorities and public services, are neutral toward religions.
