What is an example of assisting a person in danger?
Answer. Helping an injured or endangered person, for example by calling emergency services (15, 18 or 112).
Aider une personne blessée ou en danger, par exemple en appelant les secours (15, 18 ou 112).
Everyone must help a person in danger, without putting themselves in danger. Calling emergency services is often enough. Doing nothing can be punished by law.
The official text that proves it
« Assurer l’assistance à personne en danger, c’est porter secours à toute personne en danger. Si une personne voit quelqu’un en danger ou qui est en danger, il doit l’aider. Si elle n’aide pas, elle peut être condamnée pour “non-assistance à personne en danger”. »
Providing assistance to a person in danger means coming to the aid of anyone in danger. If a person sees someone who is in danger, they must help them. If they do not help, they can be convicted of failure to assist a person in danger.
