What is the principle of confidentiality in health care?
Answer. The doctor must keep the patient's medical information secret, known as secret médical (medical confidentiality).
Le médecin doit garder secrètes les informations médicales du patient (secret médical).
A doctor cannot discuss a patient's health with other people, not even the patient's family or employer. This confidentiality continues even after the patient's death.
