Which country was a French colony?

Answer. For example Algeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Guinea or Vietnam (Indochina).

France colonized many territories, mainly in Africa and Asia. Morocco and Tunisia were not colonies but protectorates. Most African colonies become independent in 1960, and Algeria in 1962.
