Paris is liberated on 25 August 1944 by the Resistance, General Leclerc's 2nd Armored Division and the Allies. The official fact sheet gives only the month, August 1944.

« La libération de la France s’accélère en 1944 avec le débarquement allié en Normandie en juin, auquel participent aussi les résistants. Paris est libérée en août 1944. »
The liberation of France speeds up in 1944 with the Allied landings in Normandy in June, in which Resistance fighters also take part. Paris is liberated in August 1944.
