If a washing machine breaks down, what can you do?

Answer. Have it repaired, take it to the déchetterie, or have the retailer take it back for free when buying a new machine.

La faire réparer, la déposer à la déchetterie, ou la faire reprendre gratuitement par le vendeur lors de l’achat d’une machine neuve.

A large electrical appliance is not left out on the street or put in the ordinary bin. You can have it repaired, take it to the déchetterie, or ask the store to take back the old one when you buy a new one. If the machine is still under warranty, the retailer must repair or replace it.

To be confirmed against the four options shown on exam day, which the ministry does not publish.
